San Lorenzo Castle

A great scoot/walk from Shelter Bay to San Lorenzo castle about 12 miles round trip. Set high above the Chagres River and Caribbean sea, this castle was built by the Spanish and fought over by the French, British and Portugal to hold domain over a main waterway into Panama City. Mostly in ruins now, a very cool adventure through the jungle to see. We saw lots of monkeys along the way!
