November 2024 in Europe
This fall we took advantage of traveling to Europe to visit our dear friend Ann and her family as well as Noah’s brother, Isaiah, and cousin, Noemie, and some great friends from Germany. With our reliable rental car we ventured over 3000 miles from Denmark, to Heidelberg Germany, France, Belgium and back to Denmark. A great loop:) We were grateful to spend time with Isaiah, Charlotte, Felix and Lucien and so lucky to have Noemie with us. Felix took us to his favorite fishing spot, we ate delicious food and toured the foggy Jura. Theo and Rowan turned 10! and we celebrated with an amazing dinner and cake from Dole. After our visit in Montmirey, Noemie hosted us on a marathon tour of Paris. We had a big day starting of with the trains, the Louvre Egyptian Exhibit, a walk up the Eiffel Tower, a visit to Noemie’s work and her favorite restaurant and even a tour of a light show through one of the beautiful Paris garden after dark. We made our way back to Noemie’s by train and into bed after a long, fulfilling day and woke up to snow falling. Upon recommendation from Mathilda, we visited Brugge, Belgium and were absolutely amazed by the intricate canals running through the old port. The linked castle, fort and cathedrals. We would love to return. Mathilda, Philip and Lou welcomed us in Munster, Germany and showed us their happening city, including a mega toy store any Lego fan would happily visit. Back in Kalundberg, we cooked up a festive Thanksgiving meal for 20 of Ann and Lars close friends and family. A meal to be proud of with all the fixings. We spent time together, walking or getting pulled by Zoro, Kayla, Sofas and Lucky and found some larger than life Trolls on a treasure hunt via trails. We had a memorable visit to Copenhagan touring the city by canal boat and city streets. The ocean was beautiful and company we cherish. A trip to remember!
